and eye strain. |
 |
Triggers Vitamin D production just like sunlight.
|
 |
Keep away the "blues" caused by seasonal affective
disorder (SAD). |
 |
Save money on energy costs For example, a 42
-watt full-spectrum , compact fluorescent bulb gives as
much light (2800 lumens or "lux") as a 150-watt bulb yet
consumes 72% LES electricity. |
|
Brighten
up your home,
your child's study,
your office
... your life!
 |

| |
Our
full-spectrum light bulbs burn 8 to 10
times longer than ordinary bulbs and use much less
electricity for the same light output (lumens). On average, a
26-watt* Full Spectrum Bulb, can save you from $50 to
$85 in electricity and replacement bulbs. That makes our full
spectrum lights better than FREE!!!
(*equivalent to 105-watt
standard bulb) |

What's a LUMEN,
a LUX & What's Watts?
What's a LUMEN?
In layman's terms, a LUMEN is the amount of
light you get from one candle placed one foot away.
A more rigorous definition of "lumen" is: the amount of light
which when distributed uniformly over a one square foot
surface area, produces an illumination of one foot-candle on
every point of the surface.
What's a FOOT-CANDLE?
One FOOT-CANDLE is the amount of light from
one candle measured one foot away from the center of the
flame.
What's a LUX?
In layman's terms, a LUX and a Lumen
are the same thing. A LUX is the amount of light you
get from one candle placed one meter away. So, a "lux" is
equal to one "lumen" per square meter. "Lux" is also known as
a candle-meter or meter-candle.
What's WATTS?
WATTS measure how much energy a light bulb
consumes ... NOT how much light it gives. Wattage has nothing
to do with the amount of light (lumens) you get from a light
bulb.
Lumens, not watts, tell you how much light you will get from
a light bulb.
For economy and efficiency, look for the highest lumens per
watt.
A 100-watt incandescent bulb produces 1700 lumens of
yellowish light.
A 26-watt compact fluorescent full-spectrum light bulb
produces 1700 lumens of white light,
while using 1/4 as much electricity (as measured in watts).
Thus endeth the lesson. We hope it was enlightening and
illuminating!
